Water

New water rates went into effect on January 1, 2022.

Water meters are located in either the front yards close to the street or in the alleys.

Water meters are not to be turned on or off by a customer or plumber, only by the City Crew. Please contact the City Office if a meter needs turned on or off for any reason. A ticket may be issued by the Police Department if a meter is turned on by anyone other than the City Crew.

Every year the City sends out the Consumer Confidence Reports to every residence.

Water Taps

A New Service Installation Application is required to be completed and approved before any water taps are made.

Water Rates

Consumption rates are charged in an increasing fashion. For example, a user within city limits who consumes 36,000 gallons will be charged

$36.80 for the first 3,000 gallons
plus $43.20 ($1.60*27) for the next 27,000
plus $12.84 ($2.14*6) for the 6,000 gallons after the first 30,000 gallons
