The City of Oakley, KS is accepting application for Communications Officer.  This is a full-time position with a great benefit package, valued at over $25,000, which includes:  KPERS retirement, paid full family insurance, dental, sick leave, holiday pay, and vacation.

SALARY:  Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be a United States Citizen, 18 years old by time of hire, High School diploma or GED required.  Must pass an extensive background check, interview board, and drug screen.  Must not have been charged or convicted of domestic violence, no felony conviction(s), including any felony conviction(s) that have been expunged.

Police Officer, Oakley Police Department

The City of Oakley, KS is accepting applications for Police Officer.  This is a full-time position with a great benefit package, valued at over $25,000, which includes: KPERS retirement, paid full family insurance, dental, sick leave, holiday pay, vacation, and all equipment supplied with the exception of boots.

SALARY: Noncertified Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications & experience with an increase upon KLETC certification. Officers with a current Kansas Certification will receive a $5,000 bonus 90 days after employment start date upon signing a 2-year contract. Kansas Certified salary is negotiable depending on qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a United States Citizen, 21 years old by the time of hire, High School diploma or GED, satisfy all requirements as set forth in L.S.A. 74-5605, have or be able to obtain a valid Kansas driver's license, must pass an extensive background check, interview board, psychological test, and drug screen.  Must not have been charged or convicted of domestic violence, no felony conviction(s), including any felony conviction(s) that have been expunged.  Must be willing to work shift work and some holidays.  Kansas Certification is preferred.
